The Gospel

The Gospel

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Salvation is not about becoming religious, going to church, doing good deeds or being a good person.

There are plenty of people in the world that believe they are going to heaven, in fact God’s word says in Matthew 7:21 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”

The “will of my Father” is Believing in Jesus. God wants you to seek out his Son for salvation. This truth is summed up in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Salvation is about;

  • Realizing your sin separates you from God
  • Confessing your sins to Him
  • Asking the Lord Jesus to forgive your sins and save you
  • Repent (to turn from) of your sins
  • Enter into a personal relationship with God.

The Gospel (The Good News) – What the Bible says about the most important decision you will ever make in your life!

It’s not the topic of most conversations, but have you ever asked yourself “Am I 100% sure that when I die, I will go to Heaven?” If you’re not sure then God wants you to know, that’s why we have the Bible!

We must realize that we are separated from God by sin. All men are created equal and Romans 3:23 says “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God”. Sin is any action or thought that God says is wrong. Think about that for a moment…

Not a comforting thought when Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death;”. This speaks of an eternal separation from God in a place the Bible calls Hell!

God offers us a solution to this horrible situation in the second half of Romans 6:23 “but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Basically, God is saying you’ve messed up real bad, you and everyone else but, I have a free gift for you that will fix everything – A Savior! Because I Love you! Right now, if you are willing to agree with God about your sin and your need for forgiveness, then…

Here's what to do. Respond to God’s offer of Salvation.

Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” You can accept God’s free gift of salvation right now!

If you sincerely pray to God agreeing with Him that you are a sinner, and asking Jesus Christ to take away your sin and be your personal savior you will be SAVED!

Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

If you have prayed for your salvation, we sure would like to hear from you. Please call or come by and let us know. We would love to be an encouragement to you in what the Bible calls being Born Again.
