Stan Kiefer is an Air Force Veteran having been saved in 1973 while stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base. He and his wife, Joyce met in Hawaii in 1974 and were married the same year. After his Air Force service, he enrolled in Bible College at Hyles-Anderson College graduating in 1980 and 1981.

Pastor and Mrs. Kiefer have served at churches in Texas, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, and Georgia. They have served in various capacities in music, Christian education and outreach ministries. They are also currently teaching and training National pastors in the Philippines and have been since 2005.

They have 4 children, 10 grandchildren (3 of those in Heaven). They look forward to serving the people of Elgin Missionary Baptist Church and the Elgin community for many years ahead.
